Fire extinguisher is used to put off fires in times of emergencies. The first fire extinguisher was invented in 1723 in England. Time can be even more less when it has been discharged. It is important to undergo training at any local fire department. This will enable to use fire extinguisher correctly. Fire extinguisher is usually recharged after being used.
There are different types of extinguishing agents used to fill fire extinguisher for instance carbon dioxide or nitrogen among others. Fire extinguisher can be used to put out fire caused by: flammable liquids, cooking fats, electricity, combustible metals papers or woods. Fire extinguisher should be left free standing. This will ensure the device is not interfered with. Fire extinguisher bracket is also effective in providing the device firm support. Fire extinguisher should be placed where it can be easily accessed in case of eventualities especially in central position. It should also be installed in fire risky areas. During installation of fire extinguisher, tools such as screwdriver, driller, stud finder, bracket, cabinet and measuring tape will be required.
